Right, because this “socialism” allows the ability for employers (the owners) to fire their employees (the players) whenever they feel like it because the players contracts aren’t guaranteed, unlike the other major sports.

This “socialism” also stands up for worker safety by still using outdated equipment when better and safer versions are readily available on the market. It also covers the myriad of mental problems and subsequent medical costs by providing the worst retirement pension of all four major sports.

Lastly, this “socialism” also force consumers (us fans) to purchase obscenely priced tickets to home games (that continue to rise even during a recession) and sell out their stadium, or face the prospect of the games being blacked-out on local TV.
