So this election cycle has allegedly cost several billion dollars total. Today may be the hallmark of our nation, but am I the only one totally abhorred by this fact?

Surely our schools, roads, transportation systems, police, fire, soldiers, and even our own fellow citizens could have used, oh, just a few hundred million of that total?
